How Does The General Contractor Benefit by this
service?
General Contractors benefit in
several ways. When a General Contractor gets a new set of plans to bid, he or
she will usually need to go to the print shop and have several sets printed, get
in touch with each of his Sub Contractors, and arrange a time and place to get
the plans to them. With our service, once he or she has the plans (even if we
did not design the project) all he has to do is bring the plan to us and ask us
to bid it. We handle scanning and printing the plans, contacting the subs, and
getting the plans to them. From that point, the subs will bid the project and
submit their bids directly back to the general through the contact information
that we provide to them when they come in to pick up the plans. Normally, the
General has to invest money for the printing, gas, and his time to distribute
the plans. We do this service for the cost of printing. We will build custom
lists of Sub-Contractors for each General (at the General's request), so only
the subs he or she likes to use are notified.
How Does The Sub Contractor Benefit by this
service?
The typical Sub Contractor will find many more job
opportunities at PlanRoom Central than any one other place. Since PlanRoom
Central is in the plan business, we have tons of them. A Sub Contractor may walk
out with 5-10 jobs to bid, greatly increasing the opportunity to meet new
Generals and do their work. The plans are usually free to the subs, unless the
project is large commercial. By having a central location to pick up several
sets of plans at one time, the Sub Contractor is also saving time and gas money.
As a Sub-Contractor, you will receive e-mail notifications with some of the job
specifics, location, type of construction, square footage, etc.
